Hi Shivam. that is a good and deep question. I will offer you two simple responses here and I invite you to listen to the podcast I did on Mother Love which goes into this more deeply. 1. Mother Love is a specific kind of love all humans need to feel. It is that nurturing, unconditional love that makes you feel safe, cared for, held. And since our birth mothers are the ones who carry us and who often take care of us through our early life, we look to them for that love. And often we need to receive mother love from more than just our birth mother. 2. We are deeply connected to our mothers physically while they carry us and we are connected to them at a soul level too because we chose to be their child and them our mother. Most of all what I feel is essential for us as adults is to recognize we need mother love, to cultivate it even as adults, and to look for the evidence we received it as young children even if it was not from our birth mothers.
